We’re putting together a contact list for those who are going
to the AGM in Maryborough. This will enable us to keep in touch during the
week-long event and in particular organise our branch dinner on the Friday
night. Peter Arday 0411 529 151 or pjarday@westnet.com.au will be our
central contact this year.
Many Canberrans go to the AGM dinner on the Saturday night in
the giant Hoecker tent but on the Friday night it has been our tradition to dine
together as Canberra branch members in a local pub or restaurant. Peter is
organising the venue for dinner on Friday night 19th April. More
details closer to the date.
If you are going to Maryborough and you’d like to be in touch
with your fellow Canberrans, email Peter and he’ll add you to the contact list.
Let him know if you’re coming to the Friday night dinner. Also, please let him
know when you’re leaving for Maryborough, if you’re looking for someone to ride
with there and/or back, or if you are willing to have someone else ride with you
(this is purely to help our members hook up with someone to share the road
with). Of course, everyone is responsible for organising their own accommodation
to and from and at the AGM.
