The National Committee is concerned about the rapid rise of Covid-19 cases in Victoria particularly, as well as NSW. It’s timely to remind members of your obligation to obey the restrictions of each state for coronavirus, but acknowledge that most of you will be aware of and are complying with the restrictions.
We have become aware of some members who believe that the Ulysses Club will be responsible should any members be fined for disobeying state based rules.
Please understand that any member who is fined while on a ride or social gathering that contravenes the restrictions of that state will be personally responsible for their fine.
We also remind members that while they ride in Ulysses Club logoed gear, that they are representing the good name of the club and we expect them to remember that and not deliberately flout the restrictions.
The National Committee acknowledges that the restrictions change quickly and it can be difficult to keep up, but would like to advise that members should each make a decision about whether they should attend any ride or social occasion and check whether it meets current guidelines.
