This was the smallest turnout I can remember for our participation in the Anzac Day commemorations at Temora. However, what we lacked in numbers we made up for (well, a bit) in enthusiasm and gravitas.

It was an absolutely perfect day for a ride, but I forsook the comfort of the Goldwing to ride shotgun with Peter Arday in his MG 1500 Turbo SUV. Pete had made all the arrangements with the Temora RSL but because his health isn’t that great at the moment, he took the tin-top.
As rides go, it was pretty straightforward. Garry led the two-wheeled cohort, leaving Nicholls bang on 8am and picking up David on the way through Murrumbateman. We had a coffee and pie break at Murrumburrah and pulled into Temora just before 10:30 – perfect timing, as the march started at 10:45.
We were joined by local Ulyssian Greg Wood and the six bikes brought up the rear of the march, which goes around the corner and down Loftus Street to the cenotaph in Callaghan Park. The service was punctuated, as usual, by a stirring flyover by one of the Spitfires from the Aviation Museum. Warren and Kim laid a wreath on behalf of the Ulysses Club Canberra branch.
After the service, we adjourned to the Ex-Services Club for a buffet lunch before heading home.
